How SolarEdge Batteries Work

The SolarEdge Energy Bank system stores excess solar power for backup during grid outages. It converts stored DC electricity to AC power and allows homeowners to choose which loads are powered by the battery. This flexible system ensures uninterrupted power during outages and optimal energy utilization.

Reliable Backup Power:
The SolarEdge Energy Bank ensures homeowners have power during grid outages. By storing excess solar power, it provides a reliable solution for keeping the lights on when the utility grid is down.

DC to AC Power Conversion:
Solar panels generate DC electricity, which is stored in the Energy Bank. When required, the stored DC electricity is converted to AC electricity through the Energy Hub inverter. This converted AC power can be used to supply electricity to the home during power outages or when solar panel production is insufficient.

Flexible Backup Control:
The Backup Interface in the SolarEdge Energy Bank system disconnects the home from the grid during outages and allows homeowners to choose which loads are powered by the battery. They can reserve backup power and use the remaining stored energy for non-generating periods or exclusively rely on the battery for uninterrupted electricity during outages.
