LGCHEM RESU PRIME

The LGCHEM RESU Prime is a high-voltage energy storage system designed for large energy consumption homes and small businesses. It provides access to safe and reliable backup when the power grid goes down. The storage system comes up in two versions – RESU 10H Prime and RESU 16H Prime.

How It Works

LGCHEM RESU Prime battery stores the excess electricity produced by your solar panels when the sun is shining. You can utilize the stored that energy to maintain a sustained electricity supply when your panels are not producing enough power to meet your needs, instead of having to buy it from your utility company.

LGCHEM RESU Prime is powered by Lithium technology, which makes it lighter and less bulky than lead-acid batteries and more durable than many of its counterparts.

LG Energy Solution home battery has more than 90 per cent round-trip efficiency outputs for every 10 kWh of electricity put into the battery. It boasts a depth of discharge (DoD) capacity of up to 95 per cent. Its Lamination & Stacking (L&S) technology ensures it has an 80 per cent end-of-warranty capacity retention.

LGCHEM offers an industry-best warranty of 10 years, or 10,000 cycles, on RESU Prime. The company promises that the battery will retain 70 percent of the rated capacity after the expiration of the warranty period.

The cost of installing the LGCHEM RESU Prime storage system can vary widely depending on your electrical setup, the installation site, inverter, and several other equipment expenses.

 

As of September 2021, RESU 10H is likely to cost you $9,000 and $13,000 with a full system installation. The installation RESU 16H Prime with a full system may cost you somewhere between 11,000 to $15,000.

 

Since LGCHEM are charged only by solar energy throughout their lifespan, they are eligible for the federal solar tax credit. This means when you install RESU Prime with a new photovoltaic system, you will save around 26 percent on the total cost.
